Aldar becomes official sponsor of UAE’s national cycling team

• The emirate’s leading property developer supports UAE sports team to promote active and healthy lifestyles throughout its Abu Dhabi communities

Abu Dhabi – UAE, 11 January 2021: Aldar Properties (‘Aldar’) has announced its sponsorship of UAE Team Emirates, the UAE’s competitive road cycling team. The three-year sponsorship agreement is in line with Aldar’s social responsibility efforts by advocating for healthy and sustainable living across its communities.

UAE Team Emirates, who have seen international success at major time trials and road races, will be training at various locations across the emirates throughout January, including Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. In four years, UAE Team Emirates has moved from being a start-up cycling team to a world class organisation that has won the biggest bike race in the world with its star rider, Tadej Pogacar, at the Tour de France.

With this sponsorship, Aldar reinforces the UAE’s competitive position on the global sports stage. It also contributes to the company’s ongoing efforts to promote an active lifestyle across its portfolio of retail spaces, residential communities, and schools.
